Beginner Classes:  Learn to Quilt Classes & Workshops

   
                               This is a block I did using Robyn Pandolf fabrics
Traditional Sampler
This 8 week class will focus on the basic techniques of quilting.
It includes rotary cutting, sewing accurate 1/4” seams, strip piecing,
machine and hand appliqué, sandwiching, machine quilting and binding.

Machine Piecing
Learn about fabric, tools of the trade, cutting, strip piecing, sashing, and borders to create this lovely quilt.

Machine Quilting
Learn the basics of machine quilting in this class and finish your projects in no time at all.

Hand Applique
Learn the art of Needle Turn Applique to create 16 beautiful floral blocks to make
a truly spectacular quilt from Piece-O-Cake designs.

Pretty Dresses
I decided to put this quilt in this category because it teaches the method of Needle Turn Applique and I have had many beginners in this class. I have run this class for two years now, but I still have people asking me to run it again.

Buds in a Basket
Thirty two scrappy baskets adorn this simple but amazing quilt. An ideal scrappy project for fabric collectors. Our sample loving made by Gloria Carter uses  reproduction prints on a plain background. The effect is stunning.

Book & Quilt Club
This is a new club  I am quite excited about. We will be reading the books from the “Elm Creek” series and sewing the quilt relating to the current book we are reading.  During the first half hour of the class we will  discuss the book and for the remainder of the class we will sew. The quilt for the first session is called the “Cross Country Challenge”.

Times and Seasons Block of the Month Club
Piecemakers “Times and Seasons”
This is from the year 2000 piecemakers calendar. Trains, bridges, and waterfalls set among mountains and rolling hills. It truly is gorgeous. The size is 66”x66”. Each month we will complete one block which is approximately 14”square. After completing all the blocks they are joined to complete the scene.
